‘Girl Meets World,’ ‘Justified’ Panels Added to ATX Television Festival Lineup

The festival will also feature the debut of season two of Starz series “Power”

Panels for Disney series “Girl Meets World” and FX series “Justified” have been added to this year’s ATX Television Festival lineup, it was announced on Wednesday.

The “Girl Meets World” panel will feature producers and cast from both the current series and the past series, “Boy Meets World.”

Michael Jacobs, creator of both “Boy Meets World” and “Girl Meets World,” will bring cast members Ben Savage, Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard with him to the panel, which will feature a discussion about the differences and challenges of creating a teen-focused show in the 1990s versus the 2010s.

ATX will also host a farewell send-off for the critically-acclaimed FX series “Justified,” including a look back on the series with creator and executive producer Graham Yost. “Justified” premiered in 2010 and will air its final episode on Apr. 14. Additional producers and cast will be announced at a later date.

The season two premiere of Starz’ “Power” will be featured as a Friday Night Marquee Screening, with creator and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh confirmed to attend, along with cast members Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora. Additional panelists will be announced at a future date.

ATX will premiere a new episode of upcoming event series “Wayward Pines,” which debuts May 14 on Fox, and host a panel discussion with executive producer Chad Hodge, who developed the series for television, cast members Carla Gugino and Reed Diamond, and executive producer Donald DeLine.

Marta Kauffman, creator of “Friends,” HBO’s “Dream On” and new Netflix series “Grace and Frankie,” will join this year’s festival as a first-time attendee. Kauffman will be part of a “Conversation with Marta Kauffman,” discussing her career from network to cable and now streaming series.

These panels join the previously announced reunions for “Gilmore Girls,” “Queer as Folk,” “Journeyman” and the “Dawson’s Creek” Writers Room Reunion at this year’s festival, along with panelists Beau Willimon (“House of Cards”), Phil Rosenthal (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) and Noah Hawley (“Fargo”).

The ATX Television Festival will take place in Austin, Texas, from June 4-7.
