Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze Hires Glenn Hall as Managing Editor

Hall most recently served as editor-in-chief of TheStreet

TheBlaze, a news, information and e-commerce network under Glenn Beck's Mercury Radio Arts banner, has hired Glenn Hall as its managing editor.

Hall, the former editor-in-chief of TheStreet, will oversee the newsroom on a day-to-day basis, reporting to editor-in-chief Scott Baker. He starts July 11.

TheBlaze launched at the end of August 2010 and earlier in June Mercury Radio Arts consolidated GBTV, Beck’s online network, under TheBlaze. It will offer 24/7 video content to go with news articles, blogs and e-commerce.

“In under two years, we have attracted a growing team of over 25 reporters with a diverse range of experience ranging from a former CIA officer to CNN contributors,” Betsy Morgan, President and chief strategy officer of TheBlaze, said in a statement. “We are excited to take our team to the next level with Glenn Hall who brings a strong track record of leading and overseeing high-quality coverage and award-winning journalism to TheBlaze.”

Hall left the Street in March of 2012 after nearly four years with the site. He has also worked at the Orange County Register and Bloomberg News among other outlets.
