Drake Gives Away $1 Million in ‘God’s Plan’ Video

Instead of using the cash to shoot and produce the video, Drizzy handed it out around Miami

Drake may have just produced his greatest music video to date for nearly $1 million — but none of that was spent on production.

The Toronto native dropped the video for “God’s Plan” on Friday, a project he shot in Miami that cost a pretty penny, but for all the right reasons. “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label,” reads an opening title card for the video.

We then cut to shots of Drake giving out stacks on stacks on stacks of cash to those in need, signing jumbo checks, and dancing with the people of Miami. The images are both sobering and uplifting all at once. Just look at that baby holding a wad of bills and try not to smile and cry at the same time.

Drake called the video, which was filmed earlier this month, “the most important thing I have ever done in my career” in a post on Instagram on Thursday.
