Marvel has released a 15-second “Guardians of the Galaxy” teaser trailer ahead of the full first trailer’s debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday night, and it looks like the Disney-owned studio is trying to lure in the ladies.
Star Chris Pratt’s six pack is on full display in the last shot of the tease, which also highlights WWE Superstar David Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Djimon Hounsou Korath the Pursuer.
Pratt — best known for his role as lovable doofus Andy Dwyer on NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation” — shed his beer gut to take the lead in director James Gunn‘s upcoming superhero movie as American pilot Peter Quill, who finds himself on the run from an intergalactic menace, Ronan the Accuser, played by Lee Pace.
“Guardians” lands in theaters on Aug. 1.
