J.K. Rowling has thrown some major shade at a wand-shop owner, after the businessman banned fans of her “Harry Potter” series from his establishment.

The author fired up her Twitter account this weekend after reading about the ban, zinging the owner with the wit that has made her one of the world’s most beloved women of letters.

Rowling linked to a story which quoted Richard Carter, proprietor of Slaithwaite, England’s Mystical Moments shop, as saying that Potter-heads are unwelcome at his business.

“You wouldn’t believe how many real witches and wizards there are knocking about. You would be amazed,” Carter said. “They know they can come here and reveal themselves without people thinking they’re mental. I don’t have customers who have been Harry Potterfied. If I had someone come in wanting a wand just because they liked Harry Potter I would not sell them one, no matter how much they were offering.”

According to Carter, the wands he sells in his shop are intended for healing spells and other magical rites, not re-creating scenes from the hugely popular “Harry Potter” franchise.

Rowling’s response to the ban? “Oh yeah? Well, I don’t think they’re real wands.”

Ouch. That’s one magical diss.
