Harvey Weinstein was arrested Friday morning after surrendering to authorities in New York City.

The producer is currently being booked on charges of rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct, and the Twitter community is celebrating what many people see as the first step towards justice.

Below are some of the strongest initial reactions from the social media website.

Griffin also composed another tweet with a photo of Weinstein’s arrest, saying, “Rot in prison you piece of sh–.”

At least 80 women have accused Weinstein of assault, harassment and inappropriate conduct.

The avalanche of accusations against him spawned the global #MeToo movement, throwing a spotlight on sexual misconduct in the workplace across industries.
