"Eastbound," which follows the adventures of a self-destructive former MLB pitcher Kenny Powers (Danny McBride), was widely expected to conclude at the end of the third season. Co-creator and director Jody Hill ("Observe and Report") said they envisioned the series as "a kind of trilogy," however, HBO announced a fourth season last July. The first of eight new episodes will premiere Sept. 29 at 10 p.m.

McBride, Hill, Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy and Adam McKay all return as executive producers.

"Ladies," a new half-hour comedy series starring Stephen Merchant as an Englishman looking for love in Los Angeles, will premiere after "Eastbound" on Sept. 29 at 10:30 p.m.

"Clear History," a comedy directed by Greg Mottola ("Superbad"), premieries on Aug. 10. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star David is nearly unrecognizable in the film as a former marketing executive plotting revenge against his former boss who made millions from the electric car company he once owned. Jon Hamm, Bill Hader, Philip Baker Hall, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton, Danny McBride, Eva Mendes, Amy Ryan and J.B. Smoove also star.
