Navigating the challenges that come with adolescence can be tough — especially if your Heather Graham‘ kids and Ellen Burstyn‘s grandkids in Lifetime’s “Flowers in the Attic” remake.
The remake of the 1987 movie, starring Victoria Tennant as the world’s worst mother and Louise Fletcher as the world’s worst grandmother, tells the terrible tale of four siblings who are locked in their grandparent’s attic after their father dies, and their mother can no longer support them on her own.

Packed with incestuous love affairs, betrayal and murder, the book on which both movies are based on was a bestseller. Author Virginia C. Andrews wrote four sequels — “Petals on the Wind,” “If There Be Thorns,” “Seeds of Yesterday,” and “Garden of Shadows.”
The horrors that unfold in “Attic” are told from the perspective of the oldest daughter in the family, played by “Mad Men” star Kiernan Shipka in the remake.

The first trailer for the upcoming made-for-TV movie (above) promises audiences lots of twisted drama involving a brother and sister love affair, child abuse and religious extremity, as well as just enough footage to suggest that Graham’s character isn’t the loving mother her children believe her to be.
