Helen Mirren Forces James Corden to Bow Down in Dirty ‘Drop the Mic’ (Video)

Kneel, baby, kneel

She’s a dame who doesn’t give a damn, that’s for sure.

British (and Hollywood) royalty Helen Mirren and “Late Late Show” host James Corden faced off in one of his most impressive “Drop the Mic” segment’s to date on Tuesday. Despite Mirren entering the ring wearing a crown and a robe, Corden was still convinced he could beat his fellow UK native in their rap battle.

He was sadly mistaken.

“Back home she’s considered the actress you have to fear. Ee’re in America now, Meryl Streep lives here,” Corden sang, spitting hot fire at the “queen.” “You dated Liam Neeson back in 1982. But he left you quick, guess he wasn’t taken with you.”

“He’s obsessed with my exes. Sorry, James, I’m not single. But you know I taught your little mister to tingle,” Mirren fired back, miming a NSFW gesture referencing a part of Corden’s anatomy we probably can’t describe here.

“You said that was strictly between us,” he said, embarrassed. “Played a queen six times, wow that’s real range,” he rapped, snapping back into action. “I’m not playing around. Like, you’re not Dame Judi Dench”

In the end, Mirren was declared the winner by the audience. Of course, if Corden had beaten Mirren he’d probably have both this queen, and the real queen, to answer to.
