Italian actor Luca Calvani (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) will play the villain opposite Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in Guy Ritchie‘s feature adaptation of “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” an individual familiar with the Warner Bros. project has told TheWrap.
Warner Bros. did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Alicia Vikander and Hugh Grant will co-star in the movie, which just started shooting in Europe.
Calvani will play an Italian billionaire who is selling nuclear weapons to the highest bidder.
Calvani is a former teen model who successfully made the transition to actor, and ‘U.N.C.L.E.” is his highest profile role yet. After co-starring in Disney’s romantic comedy “When In Rome” and Sony’s action thriller “The International,” Calvani landed a role as Father Fontana on CBS’ popular soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful.” He also made an appearance in Woody Allen‘s Italian comedy “To Rome with Love.”
Calvani, who just signed with Paradigm, is repped by Conway van Gelder Grant overseas.
