Sundance attendees were talking about “Hereditary,” saying it could be this year’s scariest movie — and here’s the trailer to prove it.
In the trailer, we see Toni Collette’s mother pass away, and soon, her family becomes possessed by her ancestry as they discover terrifying secrets. They have to outrun the sinister fate within them.
There’s fire, blood, creepy smiles in mirrors and a whole lot of jump scares as the Grahams fall deeper and deeper into their family’s mysterious heritage.
“Hereditary” also stars Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro, Ann Down and Gabriel Byrne.
The film was written and directed by Ari Aster, who has previously written and directed shorts. “Hereditary” was produced by “The Witch” and “Split” producers, so you know you are in for a wild ride.
A24 is planning a release for the film on June 8.
