Heroes and Villains Entertainment is expanding its TV business by bringing on manager Henry Huang and promoting coordinator Robert Watts to manager of unscripted television.
Huang will be working with clients on both the scripted and unscripted side. He began his career at ICM before moving into management at Industry Entertainment.
Huang most recently worked for Global Creative/Station 3 as a manager, and brings with him a diverse client list including writers Matthew Newman (“How To Make Love Like An Englishman”), Chris Pena (“Jane the Virgin”), Carla Ching (“Graceland”), TV director Marisol Adler and on-air personalities like Kat Odell (“Eat Drink Love”) and Jackie Tranchida (“Spike Spotlight”), among others.
Watts began his career at WME before joining Heroes and Villains in 2009. He was promoted to coordinator in 2011 and since then, he’s been spearheading HVE’s growth in the unscripted space. Watts will now take on that responsibility full time, overseeing an expanding client list of talented reality TV producer/editors and heading up HVE’s unscripted production department.
Founded in November 2007 by partners Dick Hillenbrand, Markus Goerg and Mikhail Nayfeld, Heroes and Villains Entertainment is a production and management company that specializes in content creation for film, TV, video games, comic books and the Internet, as well as the representation of content creators in those areas.
HVE’s clients span the gamut of genres from Emmy Award-nominated writer Mike Markowitz, whose “Horrible Bosses” earned over $200 million at the worldwide box office, to best-selling author Ransom Riggs, whose debut novel “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” is set to go into production in 2015 with Tim Burton directing and Eva Green starring alongside Asa Butterfield. The company also reps content creator Jordan Mechner, who created the iconic video game “Prince of Persia” and wrote the original draft of the feature film adaptation with John August for Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer.
On the production side, HVE has a co-imprint with Top Cow Entertainment (“Wanted”) through which it publishes original comic book series serving as source material for feature film and television productions.
