Beachfront Bargain Hunt

Hunting for a vacation home, entire island or just some good old-fashioned home-and-garden television programming? HGTV has renewed six series in the cable channel’s fantasy lifestyle genre: “Caribbean Life,” Island Life,” “Hawaii Life,” “Island Hunters,” “Lakefront Bargain Hunt” and “Beachfront Bargain Hunt.”

All-in, that’s more than 100 new episodes coming.

For “Caribbean Life” and “Island Life,” this marks the sixth seasons. “Hawaii Life” is getting its Season 8. “Island Hunters” gets a third, while “Lakefront Bargain Hunt” lands its own eighth season. “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” is the longest-running of the series, with Season 12 coming next.

Below are the renewed series’ descriptions, in HGTV’s own words.

In “Caribbean Life,” families leave the mainland behind to live on island time. Each new episode follows potential buyers as they tour houses near white sandy beaches in hopes of finding an affordable tropical home. The new season of “Island Life” follows families as they tour beautiful stateside islands, such as Coronado Island, Calif.; South Padre Island, Texas; and Edisto Island, S.C. For those who want to live in the Aloha State, “Hawaii Life” features properties that suit any lifestyle and follows families as they turn their fantasy of living in Hawaii into reality.

HGTV also explores big-budget options in “Island Hunters.” Each episode features families as they search for the ultimate tropical getaway — their own private island. In “Lakefront Bargain Hunt,” home seekers set out to find affordable lakeside living, while others search for a sanctuary in the sand without breaking the bank in “Beachfront Bargain Hunt.”
