Hillary Clinton on Gaddafi: “We Came, We Saw, He Died” (Video)

The Secretary of State turns into Caesar for a moment

Hillary Clinton had a good ole time on Thursday finding out that Libyan dictator Col. Moammar Gaddafi died.

In the second of two videos showing her reaction to different stages of reports, in this case the confirmation of Gaddafi's death, Clinton proclaims "We came, we saw, he died."

For those who have not recently brushed up on theirr Roman history, that is a reference to Julius Caesar's famous line "veni, vidi, vici," which means "I came, I saw, I conquered."

In a rare moment where the public can see the Secretary of State removed from her official, serious persona, Clinton then laughs heartily.

Coincidentally, she had been sitting for a series of interviews on this momentous day in Libyan history, and this was the second time a camera captured her reaction to news of Gaddafi's fate.

The first time around, when unconfirmed reports first came in, Clinton said "wow," but then immediately cautioned everyone that they were unconfirmed.

Here's the video:
