Hootie & the Blowfish Are Back, and This ‘Tonight Show’ Performance Proves It (Video)

We will dance if you will sing

This week, we only wanna be with Hootie & the Blowfish. Fortunately, Jimmy Fallon shares our affinity for the reunited American rock band.

“The Tonight Show” hosted the guys on Monday night, hours after they announced a reunion album and tour.

Watch their performance via the video above.

Hootie & the Blowfish’s 1994 debut album, “Cracked Rear View” is the 19th-best-selling album of all time in the United States, and was certified platinum 21 times. The release included four hit singles: “Only Wanna Be With You,” “Let Her Cry,” “Hold My Hand” and “Time.”

In 1996, the guys won both of the Grammys for which they were nominated: Best New Artist, and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Let Her Cry.” They also won an MTV Video Music Award and were nominated for two others.

Hootie & the Blowfish went on hiatus in 2008 so that lead singer Rucker could pursue a solo career. The band reunited here and there on special occasions.
