Ratings: Fox’s ‘Houdini & Doyle’ Premiere Vanishes in Primetime

New series draws soft 0.7 demo rating and 2.6 million total viewers

Poof! Fox’s “Houdini & Doyle” series debut disappeared without any real impact on Monday night, when its premiere pulled just a 0.7 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 2.6 million total viewers.

NBC and ABC did their usual Monday thing, splitting demo and overall audience victories with “The Voice” and “Dancing With the Stars,” respectively.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 8.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. ET earned a 2.1/7 and 9.8 million viewers. At 10, “Blindspot” posted a 1.3/4 and 5.5 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.5/5 and first in viewers with 9.8 million. “Dancing With the Stars” at 8 p.m. ET scored a 1.8/6 and 11.6 million viewers. “Castle” at 10 received a 1.0/4 and 6.2 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.4/5 and in viewers with 7.2 million. “Mike & Molly” at 8 p.m. ET had a 1.3/5 and 7 million viewers. A second half hour at 8:30 got a 1.4/5 and 7.2 million viewers. Following a rerun, at 9:30, “The Odd Couple” dropped to a 1.3/4 and 6 million viewers. The “NCIS: Los Angeles” season finale at 10 put up a 1.3/4 and 7.9 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in viewers with 3.1 million. “Gotham” at 8 p.m. ET landed a 1.2/4 and 3.6 million viewers. “Houdini & Doyle” followed at 9.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.7 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 951,000. “Reign” at 8 p.m. ET managed a 0.3/1 and 1 million viewers. At 9, “Jane the Virgin” had the same demo rating but 100,000 fewer viewers.
