Howard Stern Inks New On-Demand TV Deal

Howard TV agreement renewed; 40 hours of programming each month

A little more than a month after Howard Stern and Sirius announced a new five-year deal to keep the shock jock on satellite radio, the "King of All Media" has renewed his on-demand deal for Howard TV.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but according to Multichannel News, the arrangement is similar to his last one: the subscription-based Howard TV On Demand "will continue to offer over 40 hours of uncensored high-definition programming each month, with unlimited access to the video versions of Stern's Sirius XM daily radio show, selections from the extensive television archives (including the uncensored versions of his E! shows), original programming and behind-the-scenes content."

Stern's current Howard TV contract had expired at the end of 2010.

Here's the statement from In Demand president and CEO Bob Benya: "We are thrilled that he will be continuing his iconic show, and proud to be able to deliver Howard TV to cable audiences around North America who want to see Howard Stern in action."

And one from Howard TV producer Doug Goodstein: "The production staff at Howard TV looks forward to continuing to entertain Howard Stern fans with our one-of-a-kind programming via original series, specials and the exclusive daily shows from Howard's radio studio. Our commitment is to give fans an in-depth viewpoint of the world of Howard Stern unlike anything on television."

As TheWrap previously reported, Stern is scheduled to be Piers Morgan's second guest next week on Morgan's new primetime show on CNN.
