Mascot docuseries “Behind the Mask” will return for a second season, Hulu announced Wednesday.
Creator Josh Greenbaum, an Emmy-winning filmmaker (“The Short Game”), will return to direct, while Occupant Entertainment partners Felipe Marino and Joe Neurauter will executive produce with Occupant executive Kate Sharp.

The second season will debut on Hulu and Hulu Plus in 2014. Season 1 comes to a close on Dec. 17.
“Behind the Mask” takes viewers on a behind-the-scenes adventure into the world of being a mascot, capturing their triumphs and disappointments experienced both inside and outside the suit. Season 2 will profile three new fascinating characters at the high school, college and professional levels.
Seth Meyers‘ animated superhero comedy “The Awesomes” has also been renewed for a second season, along with western procedural comedy “Quick Draw,” while supernatural comedy “Deadbeat” — Hulu’s first co-production with Lionsgate — is also slated to premiere next year.
“We are very much looking forward to working with Josh and Occupant on another season of ‘Behind the Mask’,” Charlotte Koh, head of development, Hulu Originals, said in a statement. “Josh’s perceptive and empathetic storytelling is insightful and entertaining. He turns the mascots into everyday superheroes who we can all relate to and root for.”
