‘Hunger Games’ Consumes International Box Office, Too

“The Hunger Games” debuts to nearly $60 million at the international box office

"The Hunger Games" is No. 1 at the international, as well as the domestic box office.

While much of the focus has been on the $155 million Lionsgate's sci-fi saga grossed domestically, it took a strong $59.25 million at the international box office, the studio said Sunday morning.

It is projected to be the No. 1 movie in nearly all of its 67 markets.
