Fans lined up outside the Nokia Theater for the premiere of "The Hunger Games" Monday night, hoping for a glimpse of stars Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus, Sylvester Stallone, "Descendants" co-star Shailene Woodley and parts of the Jenner clan turned out for the premiere of Lionsgate's eagerly anticipated adaptation of Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel.

The PG-13 movie also stars Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Lenny Kravitz and Donald Sutherland. Jack Quaid, the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, has a role in the film and was also among those hitting the dark carpet.

"Twilight" star Peter Facinelli also hit the carpet; David and Victoria Beckham, singer-"Voice" star Adam Levine and "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli are also expected take in the premiere, along with Dennis Miller and Demi Lovato.

Paula Malcolmson, who plays mom to Lawrence's Katniss, took the day off shooting Liev Schreiber's Showtime series for the premiere.

"I think it's the next 'Sopranos'," she told TheWrap. Malcolmson also said that she is locked for the entire "Hunger Games" series.

Willow Shields, who plays Primrose, said she auditioned by tape from home in New Mexico,, and flew in two weeks later to meet director Gary Ross, and got the part. 

"The Hunger Games" will open to the general public in more than 3,000 theaters on March 23, and is on track to gross at least $95 million in its opening weekend. That would be the biggest opening since the weekend of Nov. 18, 2011, when "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1" opened to $138.1 million.
