Al Pacino Is Coming for the Nazis in First Look at Jordan Peele’s Amazon Series ‘Hunters’ (Video)

“This is not murder, this is mitzvah”

As if you needed more proof that Al Pacino is a badass. Amazon dropped its first teaser for Jordan Peele’s upcoming Prime Video drama “Hunters” (formerly known as “The Hunt”) on Friday, featuring Pacino as the head of a rag-tag team of Nazi hunters on their quest for righteous revenge in New York City in the ’70s.

Watch the teaser above, in which Pacino’s character says, “This is not murder, this is mitzvah.”

Here’s the official description for the series, which is set to debut some time in 2020:

“Hunters” follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

Along with Pacino, the series stars Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker and Lena Olin.

The series was created by David Weil (“Moonfall”), who serves as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside executive producer Nikki Toscano. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (“American Horror Story”) will direct the pilot and is also an executive producer. Other executive producers include Peele, Win Rosenfeld (“The Twilight Zone,” “Lorena”), Nelson McCormick (“Prison Break”) and Tom Lesinski (“Mr. Mercedes”).

“Hunters” hails from Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment.
