Russell Brand Thinks Bill O’Reilly’s Argument Against Illegal Immigration Is ‘Based on Bigotry’ (Video)

The “O’Reilly Factor” host was giving his thoughts on the influx of children crossing the border without their parents in hopes of a better life

Russell Brand is continuing to use his spare time to critique the media on YouTube, and concluded this week that Bill O’Reilly‘s entire argument against illegal immigration “is rubbish and based on bigotry.

The Fox News opinion host said children, specifically, who enter the U.S. illegally “are not going to compete” in the competitive market place, because of a lack of skills and understanding of the English language. Brand, who previously called the cable news network a “fanatic terrorist propagandist organization,” doesn’t agree.

“I’ve lived in Los Angeles. Mexican people are doing all of the work. Or at least, Central American people. They’re fixing everything, doing all the gardening — actual stuff that matters,” Brand said (above). “Bill, your whole economic argue is rubbish and based on bigotry.”

O’Reilly added “it will take decades” for immigrant children to become “self sufficient,” as if it doesn’t take at least two decades for any child to become self sufficient.

“That’s just people isn’t it? All people take decades,” Brand said. “Everyone your describing Bill is people, for crying out loud.”

O’Reilly’s analysis came in response to news that the number of foreign children leaving their parents to find a better life in the U.S. has doubled each year since 2010. Based on projections from immigrant rights agencies, CNN reported the number could soar from 80,000 to 130,000 next year.
