IMAX promoted Phil Groves to senior vice president of worldwide distribution and studio-exhibitor relations, the company announced on Tuesday.
Groves will oversee IMAX’s global distribution operation and manage the company's relationships with international partners.
“Phil has been a key contributor to the successful transformation of IMAX’s film business and the results of that strategy have been evident,” Greg Foster, IMAX's chairman and president, said in a statement. “We have expanded his position to acknowledge the role he has played, and to enable our growing list of global exhbition and studio partners to have access to Phil’s extensive knowledge of the IMAX distribution business.”
