Hollywood Latinos took over Beverly Hills on Friday night as the Imagen Foundation celebrated excellence in Latino film, television and streaming at the 41st Annual Imagen Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton.
Presenting 33 awards recognizing artists, performers, filmmakers, producers and storytellers advancing authentic Latino representation across the entertainment industry, the ceremony’s highlight came with veteran actor Andy Garcia’s Lifetime Achievement Award presentation and special performance with his CineSon All Stars band.
But the standout project of the evening was Apple TV’s “Acapulco,” which garnered multiple awards throughout the ceremony for its fourth and final season. Oscar Almengor was named Best Director, while Eugenio Derbez received Best Supporting Actor – Comedy and Vanesa Bauche received Best Supporting Actress – Comedy. Enrique Arrizon was also among the recipients of the Best Actor – Comedy tie for his performance in the series.
The “Acapulco” team was further honored with the Creative Achievement Award, presented to Apple TV and Acapulco by Imagen Foundation founder and president Helen Hernandez. The series also received the award for Best Music Supervision for Film or Television, presented to Javier Nuño and Joe Rodríguez.
The evening also recognized “Brownsville Bred” as the year’s Best Feature Film and Dolores Fonzi with Best Actress for “Belén.” “Will Trent” was named Best Drama Series, while “Scrubs” received Best Comedy Series. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo was honored as Best Actor – Drama for “The Lincoln Lawyer,” and Amirah Vahn received Best Actress – Drama for “Doc.” Additional acting honors went to Michael Peña for “All Her Fault” and Arienne Mandi for “Chicago P.D.”
Acclaimed actor, filmmaker, producer, and musician Garcia received the Imagen Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his four-decade career, groundbreaking storytelling and longstanding commitment to Latino representation. Actor Danny Pino (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”) presented him with his award.

Following the presentation, Garcia and The CineSon All Stars took the stage for a special performance, joined by Grammy Award-winning musician and longtime Garcia collaborator Arturo Sandoval.
“Andy Garcia represents the very best of what the Imagen Foundation has sought to celebrate for more than four decades,” Hernandez said in a statement to TheWrap. “From the first time he served as the host of the 4th annual Imagen Awards in 1989 to the present, he has developed a remarkable body of work, artistic integrity, and commitment to creating opportunities for Latino talent that have inspired generations of storytellers. Beyond his extraordinary achievements, Andy has remained a generous mentor and role model whose influence reaches far beyond the screen. We are honored to recognize his lifetime of contributions to our industry and our community.”
