Most festivals in the past year have taken a hybrid approach to their screenings, activations and panel discussions, mixing technological advancements, virtual technologies, and good old fashioned in-person events. But this approach really makes sense to this year’s Infinity Festival Hollywood, which “brings together Silicon Valley innovators with Hollywood’s leading storytellers.”

Infinity Festival Hollywood, which takes place from Nov. 3-4 at the Dream Hotel and Goya Studios in Hollywood, as well as online (of course!), will bring together over 100 speakers, artists and designers, working across multiple disciplines and across the fields of entertainment, fine art and technology. Get ready.

Among the events this year are a special “fireside chat” with A.R. Rahman, Academy Award-winning composer of “Slumdog Millionaire,” who will speak with Ravi Velhal, global content technology strategist and 8K lead at Intel. Amongst other things, the pair will discuss the development of “Le Musk”, a new virtual reality concept film that Rahman is directing. Also on the docket is a special look at “The Mitchells vs. the Machines,” the truly jaw-dropping Sony Pictures Animation feature that was released earlier this year. Filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, along with other key members of the creative team (including director Mike Rianda and visual effects supervisor Michael Lasker), will discuss how technology enabled their outside-the-box storytelling in a one-hour chat hosted by yours truly! Also part of the docket: entertainer and gameshow host Howie Mandel.

“Infinity Festival has become the annual must-attend destination for high-profile tech exhibitions and discussions. We constantly evolve our event to best reflect the current state of entertainment by welcoming new platforms, technologies and creators,” said Infinity Festival founder and CEO, Mark Lieber, in an official release.  “As Infinity Festival looks forward to what the future holds with how we view content, these speakers and exhibition partners give our attendees the opportunity to experience technologies and platforms that are disrupting the industry.”

This is your opportunity to learn all about those acronyms you’ve vaguely aware of – VR, AR, NFTs, and everything else that is cutting edge – in a uniquely accessible and highly entertaining space. Tickets are all-inclusive for the Festival’s events, including an exclusive experience at The Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit. Please check out the official site for more information and to purchase tickets.
