Alec Baldwin and Jane Lynch will be the first post-James Lipton hosts for Ovation’s version of “Inside the Actors Studio.”

The retooled show is moving from its longtime home on Bravo and will debut on Ovation on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Lynch will be interviewing David Oyelowo, while Baldwin, co-president of The Actors Studio, will interview Henry Winkler. Lynch and Baldwin are the first hosts to be announced following longtime host Lipton’s exit last September.

“As an independent television network dedicated to celebrating and supporting all forms of arts and culture, Ovation is perfect as the new home for Inside the Actors Studio,” stated Scott Woodward, executive vice president of programming and production, Ovation. “We plan to honor the legacy of James Lipton’s master class while also exploring the craft with eclectic, talented guests.”

The 92-year-old Lipton created the show in 1994 which featured his one-on-one interviews with A-list film and television stars about the evolution of their careers.

The show began as a craft seminar for students at New York’s Actors Studio Masters program at Pace University and was a joint venture between the Actors Studio and New School University. Paul Newman was the first of Lipton’s more than 200 guest interviews that included everyone from Brad Pitt to Barbra Streisand, and from Clint Eastwood to Martin Scorsese.

The series will be filmed in NYC at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University and at the Loreto Theater at the Sheen Center. New episodes of “Inside the Actors Studio” are produced by Triage Entertainment.
