‘Interrogation’ Trailer: Watch 10 People Get Grilled Over 20 Years for the Same Murder (Video)

TCA 2020: 10-episode true-crime series starring Peter Sarsgaard launches Feb. 6 on CBS All Access

CBS All Access dropped the trailer for its upcoming true-crime series “Interrogation” during the Television Critics Association press tour Sunday, giving us our first look at 10 different people being interrogated about the same crime over 20 years.

In the video, which you can view above, you’ll see snippets of each of these sessions, as authorities spend two decades trying to get to the bottom of a grisly murder.

Starring Peter Sarsgaard (“The Looming Tower”), Kyle Gallner (“Outsiders”), David Strathairn (“Good Night, and Good Luck”), Kodi Smit-McPhee (“Dolemite Is My Name,” “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”) and guest-starring Vincent D’Onofrio (“The Godfather of Harlem”), “Interrogation” is “based on a case that spans more than 20 years, in which a young man was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother. After being sentenced to life in prison, he continued to fight to prove his innocence,” according to CBS All Access.

Sarsgaard plays David Russell, the lead detective on the case; Gallner plays the accused, Eric Fisher; Strathairn plays Eric’s father, Henry Fisher; Kodi Smit-McPhee plays Chris Keller, a troubled and homeless teen who befriends Eric; and D’Onofrio plays Sgt. Ian Lynch, an Internal Affairs officer who ends up becoming Eric Fisher’s biggest ally.

All 10 episodes of “Interrogation” will launch Thursday, Feb. 6 on CBS All Access, allowing viewers to see the day of the crime at the center of the show, and “then follow the evidence like a cold case detective, abandon the linear narrative and determine their own investigative path by watching the episodes leading up to the finale in any order,” according to CBS’ digital SVOD service.

Per CBS All Access, each episode is “structured around interrogations informed by real police case files.”

“Interrogation” is co-created by Anders Weidemann (“30 Degrees in February”) and John Mankiewicz (“House of Cards,” “Bosch”), who serve as executive producers alongside Fabrik Entertainment’s Henrik Bastin (“Bosch”) and Melissa Aouate (“Hit the Road”). Ernest Dickerson (“The Godfather of Harlem”) directs six of the drama’s 10 episodes and also serves as executive producer. Patrick Cady (“Rectify”) also directs.

The show is produced by CBS Television Studios.

All 10 episodes of “Interrogation” launch Feb. 6 on CBS All Access.
