Ivan Reitman-Kevin Costner Football Drama ‘Draft Day’ Set for April 2014

Lionsgate also slots the biopic “Cesar Chavez,” starring Michael Pena, for March of that year

Lionsgate on Tuesday set release dates for Kevin Costner‘s football tale “Draft Day” and the biopic “Cesar Chavez” on its 2014 schedule.

The Ivan Reitman-directed “Draft Day” from Summit Entertainment will open nationwide on April 11, the studio said. Jennifer Garner, Ellen Burstyn, Denis Leary, Frank Langella, Chadwick Boseman and Sean Combs co-star.

“Cesar Chavez,” directed by Diego Luna and starring Michael Pena as the famed union leader, will debut on March 28, 2014. The Pantelion Films production co-stars Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera, Jacob Vargas, Yancey Arias, Wes Bentley, John Ortoz and John Malkovich.

Additionally, the studio moved up “Tyler Perry’s Single Moms Club” from May 9 of 2014 to March 14, pushed “The Quiet Ones” from April 11 to April 25, and delayed the opening of “Addicted” until September 5. It had been set for March 2014.

“The Quiet Ones” is a British horror film directed by John Pogue and co-written by Craig Rosenberg, Oren Moverman and Tom de Ville. The film stars Jared Harris, Sam Claflin, Olivia Cooke, Erin Richards, Rory Fleck-Byrne and Laurie Calvert.

“Addicted is an erotic thriller based on the best-selling novel by Zane. Bille Woodruff directs and Sharon Leal stars.
