‘Jackass’ Star Ryan Dunn Dies in Car Wreck

34-year-old dies hours after posting photos of himself drinking on Twitter

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died in a car wreck in Pennsylvania early Monday, hours after posting photos of himself drinking on Twitter. He was 34.

Dunn's passenger, identified Tuesday as Zachary Hartwell, 30, was also killed.

Both are seen drinking in the photo Dunn tweeted before the accident (left; Dunn is on left, and Hartwell across from him on right).

Dunn's Porsche 911 flew over a guardrail in West Goshen, Pa., hit a tree and burst into flames, police told TheWrap. Authorities arrived at about 2:38 a.m. to find it completely engulfed.

A preliminary investigation said excess speed may have been a cause of the crash, but police have not, as of yet, said whether alcohol was a factor.

Dunn was a longtime friend of Bam Margera, whose mother, April, called into a morning radio show to confirm the death.

Dunn was a member of Margera's CKY Crew and co-hosted "Proving Ground," which debuted last week on G4. He was best known for risky and deliberately inane stunts with Johnny Knoxville's "Jackass" crew.
