Fired FBI Director James Comey said he has “no doubt” that the Russian government tried to influence the presidential election during his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday.

“Do you have any doubt that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 election?” Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Richard Burr asked.

“None,” Comey replied.

Burr then asked, “Do you have any doubt that the Russian government was behind the intrusions and the DNC and DCCC systems and the subsequent leaks of that information?”

“No, no doubt,” Comey answered.

“Do you have any doubt that the Russian government was behind the cyber intrusion in the state over files?” Burr asked.

“No,” Comey replied again.

The former FBI director then said he has “no doubt” that the Russian government was fully aware of the aforementioned activities. However, Comey said he is confident that no votes were actually altered and denied that Trump asked him to stop looking into the Russian meddling.
