James Comey’s secret Twitter account was reportedly unmasked by a Gizmodo reporter this week.

And if the account actually belongs to the FBI Director, his response to being discovered is truly epic.

The Twitter account in question published a Will Ferrell quote from the hit 2004 comedy “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” that reads: “Actually I’m not even mad. That’s amazing.”

It all started earlier this week when Comey revealed during a speaking engagement at the Intelligence and National Security Alliance that he has a Twitter account. Only 18 hours later on Thursday afternoon, Gizmodo’s Ashley Feinberg posted a story titled, “This is almost certainly James Comey’s Twitter account.”

“It only took me about four hours of sleuthing to find Comey’s account, which is not protected,” Feinberg wrote. She explained that she first located his son, Brien Comey, on Twitter, and followed a trail that resulted in finding the FBI director on both Twitter and Instagram.

Feinberg eventually figured out that Comey named his handles after theologian Reinhold Niebuhr, who he studied in college. The Twitter account with an egg avatar liked quite a few tweets about Comey himself and followed a bunch of reporters, news outlets and official government and law enforcement accounts.

Feinberg concluded: “Of course, none of this is definitive proof @projectexile7 is FBI Director James Comey, but it would take a nearly impossible confluence of coincidences for it to be anyone else.”

The FBI declined to comment on Feinberg’s investigation, but based on the account’s only tweet it doesn’t appear that Comey is upset — if it is, in fact, him.
