James Corden’s Pennywise Is Actually a Surprisingly Good ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant (Video)

“Look, I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to be the physical manifestation of your worst nightmare,” Stephen King’s killer clown says

What’s a demonic clown looking for love/children to eat to do when he can’t get the kids in his hometown to play with him? Float on over to “The Bachelorette” — er, “The BacheloreIT,” of course!

On Monday’s “Late Late Show,” Pennywise (as played by host James Corden) is one of the suitors on a knockoff version of the popular ABC dating competition. And the “IT: Chapter Two” villain is not half bad at it. Or at least the politics of it. (Have we said “it’ enough yet?).

“Look, I’m not here to make friends,” Pennywise says during his talking head, which has a chyron that tells us he’s “????” years old, a Murderous Clown/Personal Trainer and from Stephen King’s fictional Derry, Maine. “I’m here to be the physical manifestation of your worst nightmare.”

Yeah, Pennywise can hold his own against several guys — including three different Tylers — during a surprise talent show and even gets some alone time with Bachelorette Ashley during which he tells her he does want kids (“They’re so sweet and tender and delicious”) and plays her Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose.”

Unfortunately, Tyler P finds out about Pennywise’s child-eating ways and shows Ashley the proof. “My past is part of who I am and I am not afraid to change,” the clown tells Ashley before he gets in a brawl with Tyler P.

Watch the video above to see if Pennywise gets a rose during Ashley’s ceremony — and if Tyler P even makes it to the ceremony alive.
