Orion and BH Tilt have partnered to acquire the horror movie “The Belko Experiment,” TheWrap has learned.
The deal was sealed at the Toronto International Film Festival over the weekend.
It’s directed by Greg McLean (“Wolf Creek”) and written by James Gunn (“Guardians of the Galaxy”).
Gunn also produced along with Peter Safran (“The Conjuring”).
The scary movie is scheduled to open in theaters on March 17, 2017.
“The Belko Experiment” revolves around a torturous social experiment involving 80 Americans who get locked in a high-rise corporate office in Bogota. They are ordered by an unknown voice on an intercom as part of a deadly game.
It stars 10 Cloverfield Lane’s John Gallagher Jr. of “10 Cloverfield Lane” stars along with “Scandal”‘s Tony Goldwyn (pictured) and “True Detective”‘s Adria Arjona. John C. McGinley of “Seven” and “Silicon Valley”‘s Josh Brener are also in the film, along with Michael Rooker of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Fruitvale Station”‘s Melonie Diaz.
