James Gunn Promises $100,000 to Charity If Trump Steps on a Scale

“Guardians of the Galaxy” director’s proposition comes just hours after White House doctor Ronny Jackson said Trump was 6’3” and weighed 239 pounds

“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn said he would give $100,000 to the Donald Trump’s favorite charity if the president would publicly step on a scale.

“I will give 100 thousand dollars to Trump’s favorite charity if he will step on an accurate scale with an impartial medical professional, okayed by both of us. For real.  Gunn tweeted on Tuesday.

Gunn’s proposition comes just hours after White House doctor Ronny Jackson shared results from Trump’s recent physical exam, telling reporters at a press briefing that Trump was 6’3” and weighed 239 pounds.

According to ABC News, given his height and weight, the president’s Body Mass Index falls just shy of the defined level of obesity.

Many people didn’t buy Trump’s physical assessment, noting that the president had previously reported his height at 6-foot-2.

Others turned Trump’s involvement in the “birther” conspiracy theory that Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States into a new #Girther hashtag to question his measurements.

Later, Gunn followed up with a tweet that explained that he was in no way “fat shaming” the president, but it was rather about exposing Trump’s “continuous pattern of fabricating facts.”

He also shared a photo of Trump standing next to Obama, who is 6-foot-1.
