“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Jamie Dornan talked about the unique way of keeping his and the “mini me’s” dignity intact while shooting erotic sex scenes for the upcoming film.

“Your dignity is intact as much as it’s all tucked away in a little flesh-coloured bag,” Dornan told British GQ. “… As a guy, you put all your essentials in a little bag and you tie it up like a little bag of grapes, and it’s tucked away. Its quite a peculiar thing to do every day.”

In the film, Dornan plays the titular role of Christian Grey, a seductive businessman with a penchant for dark eroticism that attracts the naive Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson). The highly anticipated R-Rated Universal movie hits theaters Feb. 13.

And although the film has drawn some criticism for its portrayal of BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism), Dornan said the love aspect between Christian and Anastasia is more important. He also told British GQ there are weirder hobbies than enjoying whips and chains.

“…By the way, if people make such a hoo-hah about the violence against women aspect of it, it’s far more common for men to be the submissive. And it’s consensual!,” Dornan said. “There’s weirder shit than that. I think plane spotting is far weirder than S&M. That I really don’t get. I can understand why people are into S&M, but standing outside Heathrow Terminal 5 waiting for Ryanair to come in?”

Dornan’s interview with British GQ will be available in its February issue.
