Jamie Foxx Reminds Snoop Dogg About His Pre-Fame Message on ‘Beat Shazam’ (Exclusive Video)

Music star drops by the Fox game show on Thursday

Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx get a chance to reminisce when the rapper makes a surprise visit on Thursday’s “Beat Shazam,” as seen in an exclusive sneak peek.

The Fox game show’s footage shows Snoop joining Foxx on stage, where the host shares a moment from years ago when a very young, pre-fame Foxx chatted briefly with the music star.

“Let me tell you what real friends are,” Foxx says. “When I first got to L.A., I used to hang out in Long Beach and V.I.P. Records — I used to watch this dude right here. And I remember this because I was a little kid — you walked past. And he was shining, and I said, ‘Yo, Snoop, you did it!’”

According to Foxx, Snoop’s response involved a reference to the 1970s sitcom “Good Times.”

“And he said, ‘Like J.J. say, what can I say?’” the “Ray” actor adds with a laugh, doing his best Snoop impersonation.

“Beat Shazam” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
