We’re still waiting for "West Wing" star Allison Janney to return to weekly series television. But until then, this will have to do.
USA Network Thursday announced that Janney will guest star in an upcoming episode of its Mary McCormack drama "In Plain Sight." She’ll play a US marshal who clashes with McCormack’s character.
Janney-philes hoping C.J. will once again be a regular presence on TV are banking on her current pilot, ABC’s Matthew Perry comedy "Mr. Sunshine," going forward to series. But given the buzz we’re heard about the pilot script, as well as the tired premise of the show, we’re not holding our breaths.
Meanwhile, USA confirmed a slew of other stunt castings for "Sight," including Rita Moreno, Steven Weber, Tess Harper and Josh Cooke. The series begins its news season March 31.
