Jason Statham battles a gigantic, 75-foot-long shark in the first trailer for New Line Cinema’s “The Meg.”
In the trailer, a creature called Megalodon, previously believed to be extinct, attacks an undersea observation program, causing the crew to be trapped at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) must race against the clock to save the crew, as well as everyone else that comes in the way of “The Meg.”
Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Robert Taylor, Ruby Rose and Winston Chao also star in the science fiction action thriller directed by “Last Vegas” director Jon Turteltaub.
Honestly, the Meg puts Bruce from “Jaws” to shame in every way possible. This one seems bigger, more vicious, and more out for blood.
“The Meg” will hit theaters on August 10.
