Jeff Greenspan Named Chief Creative Officer at BuzzFeed

Former Facebook executive Jeff Greenspan will lead BuzzFeed's creative team as it generates social advertising content for brands and agencies

 

 

Jeff Greenspan has been named chief creative officer at BuzzFeed, the company announced Wednesday.

Greenspan was most recently communication designer at Facebook, helping brands and advertising agencies develop a "social by design" marketing effort. Before Facebook, Greenspan was a Creative Director at Omnicom Group's BBDO NY.

“Jeff is the perfect leader to work closely with a small group of leading brands to push advertising creative into the social age,” said Jonah Peretti, BuzzFeed’s founder and chief executive officer.

Based in New York, BuzzFeed is a website that tracks viral content and combines it with an editorial selection process to provide a snapshot of online activity.

BuzzFeed has a 15-person, dedicated-creative team focused on working with brands and agencies to create social advertising content. Greenspan will lead and expand this team.
