Jenna Jameson has gone on the attack against members of her former industry for “trolling” porn actress August Ames prior to her suicide at age 23 on Tuesday.

In a series of tweets Thursday, porn icon Jameson took specific aim at women in the industry for going on the attack against Ames.

“The scariest part of the attacks on @AugustAmesxxx is that they were led by quite a few big females in the adult industry,” Jameson tweeted. “These women fanned the flames of the trolling against August. Everyone should read the thread. So disappointing and tragic.”

Ames had reportedly drawn criticism on Twitter for a Dec. 3 tweet in which she said she would not work with a male performer who had also done gay porn.

“Whichever (lady) performer is replacing me tomorrow for @EroticaXNews , you’re shooting with a guy who has shot gay porn, just to let cha know. BS is all I can say,” Ames wrote in the tweet. “Do agents really not care about who they’re representing? #ladirect I do my homework for my body.”

In her tweets, Jameson specifically called out performers Jessica Drake and Sinn Sage for being “instrumental in setting the wheels in motion of August’s demise.”

“Well even though it was deleted I know it was from @thejessicadrake and @sinnsage these two were instrumental in setting the wheels in motion of August’s demise,” Jameson wrote.

In a statement posted to her Twitter account Thursday, Drake said that, while she “posted a series of tweets” on the topic of Ames’ statement, neither she or Ames followed each other, and that she did not tag Ames in the tweets.

“My goal here was NOT to say anyone had to work with anyone (actually the opposite) but that we as performers should be making educated decisions on an individual basis, choosing the options that are right for us,” James added.

TheWrap has reached out to Sage for comment on Jameson’s assertion.

Jameson’s social-media venting was met with both support and criticism, the latter of which included a tweet stating that Ames “was literally stigmatizing bisexual men. R.I.P to that woman but don’t act like the backlash against her was unwarranted.”

Jameson stood firm while replying to that statement, asking, “So you advocate people urging suicide because they don’t agree with their views?”

New York Daily News reported Thursday that the Ventura County, California, medical examiner had confirmed Ames died “of a suicide by asphyxiation/hanging.” TheWrap has reached out to a spokeswoman for the medical examiner’s office.
