Jenna Wolfe role is stepping up into a bigger role at NBC.
The weekend “Today” Show anchor has been named the first-ever Lifestyle and Fitness Correspondent for the “Today” Show, and will cover a variety of topics from healthy living and wellness to strength and body improvement, according to NBC. She will also now serve as a National Correspondent for NBC News.
“This new role is tailor-made for Jenna,” NBC News President Deborah Turness said in a statement. “Anyone who has seen her health and fitness segments on TODAY, as well as her reporting across all of our platforms, knows what a brilliant expert she is and how passionate she is about the topic.”
The 40-year-old Wolfe has worked her way up from local news in New York City — including time at the MSG Network — and now will be seen frequently on the NBC Nightly News in addition to “Today.”
