Jim Carrey and Conan Sketch Each Other Live on TV – Guess Which One Turns Out Better? (Video)

Don’t sleep on O’Brien’s cartoon skills — he worked on ”The Simpsons“ in the early ’90s

Now that Jim Carrey has vowed to stop painting Trump, he’s found a new subject for channeling his artistic ability — Conan O’Brien.

The “Kidding” star and the late night host sketched each other on Tuesday’s episode of “Conan,” and depending on your taste in art, you may actually think O’Brien’s turned out better.

But first, Carrey gave a rather somber explanation as to why he does so much art in the first place. Post-Trump, he has said he’s really into painting mangoes right now.

“The art does me. It’s not something I can help,” Carrey said. “It’s a symptom of something. There’s a lot of angst and worry and anger going on, and it seems to have manifested — and me hunched over an art table like, ‘Oh damnit.'”

“What started as a compliment turned into the saddest thing I’ve heard in quite a long time,” O’Brien said.

“Let’s uncork this f—er!” Carrey joked as the crowd laughed.

Then Conan showed some examples of some of Carrey’s politically-motivated art that became a fixture of his social media last year, like a painting of Trump, nipple exposed, eating a bowl of ice cream.

“That’s our president eating ice cream. It’s a sensual experience,” Carrey explained.

The “Kidding” star recently told Yahoo Entertainment that his days of painting pictures of Trump are over.

“To me, that was like a time, and it’s been a time, where I just wanted to be the lighthouse that was saying, ‘Hey, stay off the rocks, you’re headed for the rocks,'” the comedian said in January.
