Jim Carrey delivered some advice to Robert Mueller on Tuesday — and he channeled “The Wizard of Oz” to do so.

Actor/artist Carrey took special counsel Mueller to task with a new piece on Tuesday, painting Mueller in tones reminiscent of the Cowardly Lion from “The Wizard of Oz,” following a report that Mueller would prefer to testify privately to Congress about his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections.

In a message accompanying his latest piece, posted to his Twitter account on Tuesday, Carrey expressed understanding about Mueller’s desire to testify privately, but urged him against it, saying that it’s “just the future of the free world at stake.”

“We understand your desire to testify in private Mr. Mueller, but people don’t believe the news anymore because of someone you should have recommended for indictment. In person you could MAKE THEM BELIEVE,” Carrey wrote. “No pressure though… It’s just the future of the free world at stake.”

Carrey’s artwork depicted Mueller with a tail sticking up behind him and the phrase, “What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage,” surrounding him — the latter being a quote from the Cowardly Lion’s speech in “The Wizard of Oz.”

No doubt Mueller would get a roaring reception should he heed Carrey’s advice.
