Jim Carrey Opens Can of ‘Kick-Ass’ in Sequel’s New Trailer (Video)

Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl fight crime with a little help from their friends, including Carrey

The non-super heroes are back to fight the bad guys, and this time they're bringing along a barely recognizable Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes. And he's bringing along a dog that apparently bites in places where you wouldn't want to be bitten.

Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for "Kick-Ass 2," and after watching it, you will never mess with a 15-year-old girl again — especially one who for some reason can ride a motorcycle the way that Mindy Macready (Chloe Grace Moretz) can.

In the sequel to the 2010 hit, a goateed Christopher Mintz-Plasse is dead-set on creating an evil army to become the world's first super villain. Fortunately, a shirtless Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass himself) and Moretz (Hit-Girl) are not backing down from a fight. Nor is a very flat-topped Carrey, whose costume conjures up new meaning to "The Mask."

"Kick-Ass 2" is in theaters August 16. Here's the trailer.
