That’s a hell of an addition to your oeuvre, Jim Carrey.
Actor/artist Carrey took to his Twitter account on Tuesday to unveil his latest anti-Trump artwork, with a piece that turns up the heat on the GOP.
In a caption for the artwork, Carrey warns voters, “DON’T FOLLOW THE RED HAT TO HELL!”
“The GOP are now completely invested in Trump’s economy of LIES,” Carrey cautions in the post. “They say they’re gonna give you HEALTHCARE while working to destroy it. They make up lies about refugees while KIDNAPPING INNOCENT CHILDREN!”
Carrey concludes his message, “Vote Democrat. Help save the future. DON’T FOLLOW THE RED HAT TO HELL!”
The work itself presents a seething hell-scape, complete with a rifle-brandishing skinhead, a man appearing to tote a tiki torch, a woman running while holding an infant seemingly pulled from her womb and still tethered to her by an umbilical cord, and another woman toting a sign proclaiming, “Women for Hell.”
And, of course, leading the Hades-bound procession is Trump himself, appearing to hold a trademark red “Make America Great Again” cap aloft.
The new image stands in bleak contrast to a work Carrey served up little more than a week ago.
That image featured a figure walking along a tree-lined path toward a sun-soaked horizon.
“Be there in November,” Carrey captioned that image, in an apparent reference to the midterm elections. “Sunshine Dead Ahead.”
