We feel you, Jim Parsons; everyone has a little trouble facing up to themselves from time to time.

“The Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the hit CBS sitcom on Thursday, posting a photo of himself and costar Jim Parsons preparing for an episode.

In the shot, Galecki is seen sitting cross-legged on the floor, a pensive look on his face as he rests his cheek on his fist.

Parsons also has a look on his face — or rather, both of his faces.

In Galecki’s behind-the-scenes glimpse, Parsons comes face-to-face with a life-size, cardboard cutout of himself — and the flesh-and-blood Parsons expression suggests an emotion somewhere between concern and perplexity.

The cardboard cutout, meanwhile, appears stoic and perhaps a little stiff.

In addition to the Mona Lisa-like expression on Cardboard Parsons’ mug, the photo bears an added element of mystery, in that the faux Parsons is decked out in a lab coat and stethoscope, while the background shows a rack full of wheel rims.

The incongruous elements of the photo caused a number of commenters to muse about exactly what was going on in the photo.

“Why there is wheel rims behind ?” asked one inquiring mind.

“Why is Sheldon taller than Sheldon???” puzzled another, referring to Parsons’ character on the series.

“Not sure how I feel about this…,” read another reply.

Draw your own conclusions after examining the photo below.
