With the help of Tina Fey, Justin Timberlake, and many of the big TV stars of the past year, Jimmy Fallon kicked off the Golden Globes with a playful spin on one of this awards season’s biggest contenders, “La La Land.”
The show began with a parody of the film’s striking opening number, “Another Day of Sun.” But while “La La Land” put their dance number on a crowded L.A. freeway overpass, Fallon put his number on a backed up red carpet filled with limos.
The host was quickly joined in the number by the cast of “People v. O.J. Simpson,” Evan Rachel Wood sporting her outfit from “Westworld,” a sleeping Kit Harington, and the kids from “Stranger Things”…who were accompanied by the glorious return of Barb from the pool where she met her untimely end.

Fallon then moved on to his own rendition of “City of Stars” as Ryan Reynolds reclined on his grand piano. Finally, he danced through the stars with Justin Timberlake in a send-up of Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s planetarium waltz…but not before giving Tina Fey the stiff-arm.
