MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough believed in Donald Trump from Day 1 and he wants everyone to know it.

“I hate to say it: We were right, everybody else was wrong,” Scarborough said on Wednesday. “Everybody else was stupid, and they were wrong every single day. We were right.”

Scarborough, who has been accused of covertly supporting Trump, defended his feelings on the situation.

“So then they said, ‘Oh, you’re in the tank for Trump,’” Scarborough said. “Hey, how about this, let’s put this on a bumper sticker: We’re in the tank, for truth.”

Scarborough also pointed out that he correctly predicted Marco Rubio didn’t have a realistic chance to win the GOP nomination.

The former Republican congressman has been critical of Trump during this election cycle. In a Washington Post op-ed in February, Scarborough criticized the real estate developer for needing additional information on the KKK before condemning the group and former leader David Duke.

“The harsher reality is that the next GOP nominee will be a man who refused to condemn the Klu Klux Klan and one if its most infamous grand wizards when telling the ugly truth wouldn’t have cost him a single vote,” he wrote on Feb. 29.

The “Morning Joe” co-host noted on Wednesday that Trump is one step closer to becoming the GOP nominee after another dominating performance, sweeping Tuesday’s primaries along the East Coast.

“I consider myself the presumptive nominee,” Trump said during his victory speech.

The GOP frontrunner won Delaware, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Connecticut. The 1,237 delegates needed for automatic nomination appear to be more realistic than they were a few days ago.
