John Travolta Teaches Jimmy Fallon Iconic ‘You’re the One That I Want’ Dance From ‘Grease’ (Video)

Forty years later, Danny Zuko’s still got it

“Grease” is the word once again, as Wednesday was the 40th anniversary of the hit movie’s New York City premiere. To mark the milestone, star John Travolta taught Radio City Music Hall tenant Jimmy Fallon that iconic “You’re the One That I Want” dance from the movie’s grand finale scene.

It was actually Travolta who first introduced the steps to the 1978 film’s choreographer.

“Like in ‘Pulp Fiction,’ I grew up with all these kind of novelty dances,” Travolta said to Fallon. “In ‘Grease,’ they needed a step for that ‘You’re the One That I Want’ at the end. So I said, ‘Well, we used to do the Four Corners — why don’t we do that?’”

The “Tonight Show” host wasn’t about to waste this moment: Fallon asked Travolta if he could teach him the moves. The game guest agreed, making everyone’s night at 30 Rock.

Travolta’s “Gotti” opens in theaters on Friday.

The “Broken Arrow” baddie plays John Gotti Sr. in the movie about the Gambino crime family boss and his son John Gotti Jr. (played by Spencer Rocco Lofranco). Travolta’s real-life wife Kelly Preston plays John Sr.’s wife Victoria.

Kevin Connolly of “Entourage” fame directs “Gotti.”
