Jon Stewart, Bill O’Reilly Exchange (Friendly) Fire on ‘The Factor’ (Videos)

Fox News host declines invitation to D.C. rally, afraid of getting a contact high

Jon Stewart appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor” on Wednesday — the second time the “Daily Show” host and frequent Fox News critic has appeared on the show this year.

And just like that appearance — in February — it was funny, lively, though not as contentious or adversarial as one would've hope for.

Topics included the Obama administration midterm report card, Stewart and Colbert’s planned October rally in Washington, D.C., and O’Reilly’s comparatively-shanty Fox News studio.

Stewart extended an invitation to O’Reilly for his October 30 “Rally to Restore Sanity.”

"You know there is going to be substances at that rally," O'Reilly said, declining the invitation. "Every dope dealer within a hundred miles is going to be at the rally, Stewart. You know that."

In another exchange, Stewart challenged O’Reilly’s contention that Obama has separated himself from the “regular folks.”

"What folks?" Stewart asked.

"The regular people who would never watch your show," O'Reilly said.

"When was the last time you even visited Levittown Bill?" Stewart fired back. "That just seems like a meaningless thing to say."
